We finally have a working toilet! Joe completed the interior copper during the month of September which gave us indoor plumbing...Amerigas hooked our propane so we actually have hot water as well. Phil and I finished siding the exterior of the building. The electrician installed the circuit breaker panels, which allows us to have working outlets too. Phillips House Update October 2006 During the month of October 2005 we finally received our long awaited building permits from Sonoma County. My father, who is pictured on the left, came out to finish the site work. Together, we laid out the foundation for the carriage house and finished trenching 1300 feet of underground water lines. We were able to get a temporary hookup to a fire hydrant on the property for a water source. Steve Borchard, who is a general contractor guiding us on this project, had his crew form the foundation for the main house. At months end we are ready to pour the Phillips House Update November 2006 We poured the carriage house foundation the first week of November and finally got the temporary power turned on at the construction site. Now we can build without our generator! Progress! During the last two weeks of November we framed in the basement and placed the floor joists on the first floor. Von Renner Construction finished blacktopping the quarter mile long driveway which was necessary to get all of the large trucks up the steep driveway. With the rain starting, the dirt and gravel
